A Memory of Lothlorien (detail) by Stephanie Law

A warrior who walks with pride
Akin to elf and man
Who seeks Lorminstra's favor
By releasing dead in all the Land

His eyes of green flash fire as
His wicked cutlass slashes down
The beast is slain, the spirit sighs
And Setto kneels upon the ground

Oh skin the monster, warrior ranger
Search for silver, warrior man
With fluid grace and handsome face
He moves like only a rogue can

His gallantry is known and loved
By maidens far and wide
He woos them all with equal charm
Yet none 'ere touch the heart inside

A graceful walk, beguiling voice
Full lips or merry laughter
To Setto these are heady wine
And he leaves them smiling, always,
After...

Oh skin the monster, warrior ranger
Search for silver, warrior man
With fluid grace and handsome face
He flirts like only a rogue can

This warrior moves with strength and grace
A friend to man and maiden
Yet by himself, when none can see
His heart is heavy laden

The Loreley Dance by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

For Setto knew and loved a maid
And none has touched him since then
A rogue, she slipped into his heart
And stole like only a rogue can

Oh skin the monster, warrior ranger
Search for silver, warrior man
With fluid grace and handsome face
Steals hearts like only a rogue can

In dreams at night he sees her face
He hears her purring sighs
His fingers run through golden hair as he
Drowns in dark, impassioned eyes

The morning light awakens him
The fragrant breezes kiss his brow
And once again he loses his love
Tis only in dreams he sees her now

Oh skin the monster, warrior ranger
Search for silver, warrior man
With fluid grace and handsome face
He loves like only a rogue can

His heart was broken long ago
For his beautiful lady died
Yet still she comes to him in dreams
And he holds the best of her inside...

Oh skin the monster, warrior ranger
Search for silver, warrior man
With fluid grace and handsome face
He moves like only a rogue can
